Most, if not all counties, provide access to hearings within their court system. The trial court level the county of Los Angeles is called the Superior Court. The Los Angeles Superior Court's website does provide access to hearing information. The information is not detailed, but it does show which documents have been filed and the dates and status of the cases' hearings. Accessing the information is free and fairly straightforward.

Instructions

1

Direct your internet browser to the Los Angeles County Superior Court's website (lasuperiorcourt.org). There is no phone number you can call to obtain information about the status of a hearing. The Superior Court's website is the only place you can search for the status of a hearing.

2

Click on the "Case Summaries" button underneath the appropriate topic heading. For example, the headings "Probate," "Civil," "Family" and "Small Claims" all feature their own "Case Summaries" button.

3

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and enter the number assigned to the case in the "Case Number" field. Locate the case number on the first page of any document that has been filed with the court. If you do not have the case number, you will not be able to search for the status of hearings.

4

Click the "Search" button to produce the status of the case.
